I had Hospitality management class this morning which consisted of, take a wild guess...More presentations! Before the presentations began, we plotted a practical joke (if you can even call it that) to play on Professor Silva.
The problem with practical jokes is that, they only work well when no one gets hurt, no one gets in trouble and no one retaliates on me (i don't like that)...Anywho, at 10 o'clock, we all stood up awkwardly during her lecture and said the Pledge of Allegiance. It was semi-ridiculous and a bit pathetic, but living in the mountains- things that aren't normally funny all of a sudden are hilarious. She got a kick out of it, and so did we, so it was perfect.
After lunch, I began to feel even more sick that I have been lately. It felt like someone was stabbing be in the esophageal tract with a serrated knife- not a good feeling. So, I was grateful when she let us out of class early!
I put on my pajama's and a sweatshirt and proceeded to watch My Girl (balled my eyes out), Pocahontas, and Across the Universe.
The first 2 movies are obvious classics, but it was the first time I saw the latter of the three previously mentioned. It was a very good movie about the 60's and 70's- recommend it to everyone. It's almost a hippie musical completely based on The Beatles. (Rent it, mom and dad).
Well, here I am now, listening to the soundtrack from Across the Universe putting off packing for VENICE! We leave tomorrow at 6 am, but it's going to be very warm there, so I'm thinking a few summer dresses are in store! I somehow have to transport my suit jacket because we are touring a hotel- garrrr! I don't want to bring it with me in my hiking back pack- I guess she'll have to deal with the wrinkles ;)
Cherio!
